greetings people. I don’t know but for a moment, I decided to write my first post on Substack.
Personally, I have a website and used to post on Blogger (only and just once), but well, I seems to prefer seeking something new. I’ve read some blogs written on WordPress, a very little on Medium (actually it’s blocked in my region) and uh… I don’t really remember much. But ultimately right now I’m writing on Substack. It looks nice and all. And it seems to be a good option comparing to Medium.
…clean and liminal looking. That’s what I’m seeing right now in its editor. Gotta be easy to use maybe?
Put it aside, now I’m here. I have been writing on my own personal website using simple HTML code blocks for literally years (with less than 15 posts). And copying and moving stuff inside, self-aligning and indent stuff really take times. It would also grill a lot on my motivation and ideas too.
So, I say, I need an automated blogging system (yes?)
That’s the reason why I am coming to Substack. Not a special thing, just blog writing. I will start writing more as I have time on this. My wording criteria is to be friendly, non-political and funny. Would dat satisphy ya mentuh?
Also something about me if you wonder. I am a 17 year-old boy who is very lazy but sometimes curious and have a small interest in learning computer science (altho in fact I’m not good at Mathematics and my parent would try navigating me going another route), and also have various other hobby depending on my concurrent mood like photography or geography (simply playing with OpenStreetMaps/Google Maps and GPS thingies). Up to now I know some HTML, CSS, Windows batch script (yes), and a little Python and SQL (just use a graphical client). I plan to learn more, however, I’ve almost wasted this summer for non-useful things. I’m on my step to grade 12 too, and this time next year probably I’m already inside a series of random graduation exams that would determine my future, and either ways my life is still coming up.
Another reason that motivates me to write a blog is to cure my desire on writing (Vietnamese: nhu cầu/ham thích viết lách), as by anyways, I am still learning English, and upcomingly, Chinese and toki pona. Honestly I don’t know why am I learning both of this, but I feel that I already have a small Sino basis (which we call Hán-Việt or Sino-Vietnamese) since whenever I’ve been speaking Vietnamese as my mother tongue, and it seems interesting to see a language containing inside another language (although it’s not like the grammar we speak 100% similar to Chinese), and sometimes I am interesting in transcripting some Chinese characters into my readable format (also Sino-Vietnamese as said) and that sounds fun to do it. My parent also told me that I should know some Chinese cuz:
Why not
You live in a country beside it, under it, or anywhere that has a proximity to it, so another “why not”
China is a large potential for economy development and I can make my life with a job that’s related to China
Well, however my approach to learn Chinese seems to be different. I will tell about it in another post (altogether with toki pona).
So that may be all about me, but in a mighty ambition and scale. I am, no more than, just a seventeen year-old boy, a son, a big brother, a student, and a lazy dude who always sit behind the computer screen. Just to cure his hidden satisfy on an unknown desire of something.
I am not quite new on writing, but I am constantly learning. So if you find any mistake on my writing, just tell me, applying on every post now and then. Thank you.
So that’s all, see you next time, when I can write. Expect unexpected humours.
